During quarantine, I decided to give my bedroom at home a little renovation! I hadn’t made many changes since I was little and the bright green walls definitely didn’t match my style anymore. Since the stay at home order was put into place, I decided it would be a great time to clear out my childhood bedroom, get organized, and freshen up the space to be a place where I could rest, relax, and create. In this blog post, I’ve listed out the process as well as linked the items for you to shop if you’re interested! Make sure to follow me on Instagram for more home decor inspiration!

My goal in this room was to create a space where I could rest and relax but also feel creative and inspired. I chose to brighten up the space with white walls and white bedding with mauve/blush pinks and mustard yellows.

Paint

The paint color I chose was Alabaster from Sherwin-Williams! Its code is: SW 7008.

Throw Pillows

Throw pillows are my favorite way to decorate! I love having a bunch of throw pillows on my bed.

Linked here is the pink one in the middle.

Here is the round dusty rose one!

This is the link for my favorite lumbar pillow.

I purchased two of these stripe ones!

I love the pom poms on this pillow.

The Be Kind Pillow found near my ladder is an old find from Altar’d State.

Bedding

I love this white comforter and the little pink detail at the bottom. It’s also SO comfortable. I’ve linked it here!

These sheets are so soft- I bought them in both pink and white! They are linked here.

Throw Blankets

I absolutely love the look of throw blankets- they add texture and are easy to swap in and out.

I’ve linked one of my favorites here!

I also purchased this one linked here.

Lastly, I purchased this one as well.

Storage

I purchased three of these to store my hair accessories in! They’re cute and so functional and I’ve linked them here!

I also bought this three compartment organizer to store my wash cloths and skin care. It fits perfectly on the back of my toilet. I’ve linked it here!

I used a lot of bins and baskets to organize my room. You can find a mini tray I used in my bathroom here.

This basket is what I have sitting near my ladder!

I purchased four of these to organize things in my bathroom as well as store my chargers and computer supplies.

These little bins are perfect for storing toiletries like q-tips, cotton balls, etc. I purchase them in both the small and medium size!

I was searching for a simple makeup organizer and am so happy with this one! It’s clear with gold detail and looks so nice on my bathroom counter. I was surprised at the quality considering it’s only $12! I’ve linked it here!

Bathroom

Here is the shower curtain that I purchase that matches my bedding!

These towels also match my bedding. Here’s another set that coordinates!

The matching wash cloths are linked here.

Curtains

I just purchased these curtains- they are the same color as my bedding but have grey accents. Here’s the link!

Flower Wall

One of my favorite parts of the whole room is the DIY flower wall! I’ve written a whole blog post detailing the entire process and all of the materials you’d need to recreate this yourself. That blog post is linked here! Here is the link for the gold circle mirror.

But if a flower wall just isn’t your thing, or if you’re wanting something a bit more simplistic than you can’t go wrong with peel and stick decor like https://www.stikwood.com/collections/white-wall-planks it’s super renter friendly and affordable.

DIY

The shelves were a DIY project that my mom amazingly built for me! She hosts workshops and sells maker kits over at Midwest Makery- if you’re local to Columbus, OH be sure to check her out. I’ve linked her website here. I’ve also linked the garland I used here!

The ladder for blankets is another item in my room that my mom created! However, I’ve linked a similar one here.

Decorations

I love accessorizing with these simple yet cute mugs. You can find them here!

Here is the simple white lamp with a scallop detail!

I purchased this tray to store my laptop and iPad on- it sits on my bed and it’s so cute yet functional. I’ve linked it here!

I’ve collected many antique cameras over the years and I’m so excited to fill my shelves with them! These are a couple that I had with me in Columbus and I cannot wait to style these shelves with others from my collection that are back in Oxford.

I’m truly obsessed with this space and how it turned out! It fits my style and provides such a fun place create. My upcoming projects are finishing up the bathroom, and finalizing my gallery wall above my desk area. I’ll be sure to share those projects once they are completed and my dream room will be finished!
