These are a few of my favorite things: August

Here’s my list of my favorites products for the month of August so far! Each month I’ll have a new post up with all of my current favorites for that month so be sure to check back next month to see what’s made the list *Please note that none of these are “sponsored” but a few of them do include commissionable links.

Tote Bag

I’ve been searching for a cute tote bag that looks professional but can fit both my iPad and MacBook in it and this ones does the trick! When going to work at coffee shops and attending client meetings, I need to have both my iPad and MacBook with me and carrying a backpack made me feel slightly unprofessional. This faux-leather tote has a cute, fun pattern that matches my brand and vibe while still maintaining a degree of professionalism. It’s also able to be personalized which is an amazing personal touch. This tote is the Around Town Tote in Dotted Geo Pebble with the Headline Monogram from Thirty-One Gifts. It’s available on their website!

White Gel Pen

If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you may have noticed that I started addressing envelopes to fictional characters each week under the hashtag #khdenvelopes ! Lettering these address is so fun and I’m currently loving the white gel pen on the dark colored envelopes- especially the navy and maroon. Below is the link to the three pack of white gel pens I use.

Universal Thread Mini Backpack

This backpack is the perfect travel companion that I take on all my trips and vacations! I used it in Disney World as my Mickey ears fit inside! I’ve also used it to carry my camera around on many trips including my trip to Charleston last month. It holds my Nikon DSLR camera, my wallet, sunglasses case, and portable charger in the main pocket. In the front pocket is where I keep tissues, chapstick, and other smaller items. There’s also a smaller interior pocket that can store smaller items that you wouldn’t want on the exterior. The straps are a great length and the bag itself has held up well even though it’s made of faux leather and was relatively cheap. If I remember right, I paid under $30.00 for this bag and I’ve gotten my money’s worth! I definitely recommend getting a mini backpack like this and if you want to add a little extra something to it, tie a hairscarf around it (this hairscarf pictured here is from Madewell.)

Drygoods Jacket

This light rain jacket windbreaker is oh so cute! It definitely helped my outfit stay cute and kept me dry when we had a rainy morning in Charleston. This was more of a splurge item as I believe it was close to $45.00 but a light weight feminine rain jacket was on my wishlist for a while now

Own Your Everyday

This book is SO good. I’m only about halfway through but it has already made this month’s list of my favorite things. Jordan drops some real truth bombs that make you think and reflect on your life; however, she also challenges you to think and motivates you to know end. It’s the perfect book if you’re looking for a good read about purpose and yourself.

Bachelor in Paradise

It’s paradise time!! If you’re a huge fan of the Bachelor franchise like me, then you’re super pumped about the return of the spinoff, Bachelor in Paradise. It’s so entertaining and believe it or not, some contestants do find love.
