Lettering on Location
Lettering on Location is something that I started doing over the summer when I would feel the need to make something or doodle but had a lack of ideas. Or, if I didn’t necessarily have tons of time that day to devote to creativity (which is something that my New Years Resolution is helping with…see that blog post for more info!). By Lettering on Location, I could do a quick hand lettering piece while running errands, eating out, or doing something fun with my friends!
The rules are very simple, I take sketchbook and some markers in my bag and whenever I get to my location, I do a quick doodle or letter a phrase that comes to me while at the location. It is super quick and simple and allows me to be creative while being busy! I make sure to put the name of the place on the page as well as photographing the sketch at the location.
My favorite materials for Lettering on Location Include…
Strathmore Mixed Media Spiral Bad of Paper
Micron Pens (0.3, 0.5, 0.1)
A couple Tombow Markers
Pencil for Sketching
As always, thank you for reading!
